Careers / Open role

Operations Manager

Operations · Melbourne · Full-time · In person, five days a week

About the role

Every operator who joins NOUSIA moves through assessment, training, missions, review and placement, often alongside a mentor and an employer. As Operations Manager you make that run smoothly, on time and to a standard we can prove, while keeping the company itself running as we grow.

What you’ll do

  • Run day-to-day operations for operator cohorts, from onboarding and scheduling to mentor and mission logistics.
  • Build the processes and tools that let us scale without adding headcount: clear workflows, good data and sensible automation.
  • Coordinate with employer partners on intake, assessments and placement timelines.
  • Keep our compliance in order, including privacy, eligibility and citizenship checks, and readiness for security requirements.
  • Manage vendors, contracts, finance admin and the Melbourne office.
  • Report on what is working, what isn’t and what needs to change.

What you’ll bring

  • Four or more years in operations, ideally in a startup, education provider or services business.
  • Exceptional organisation and follow-through. Nothing falls through the cracks.
  • Comfort with spreadsheets, data and no-code tools, and a bias to automate repetitive work.
  • Clear, calm communication with operators, mentors, employers and the team.
  • A willingness to do whatever the week needs, from systems design to the unglamorous tasks.

Nice to have

  • Experience running training programs, cohorts or placements.
  • Exposure to defence, government or regulated industries.
