About the role
Employers pay NOUSIA when an operator meets the capability standard they agreed with us. As Head of Sales you build the employer side of the business: finding the organisations that need specialist capability most, agreeing the standard with them, and turning first roles into long-term workforce partnerships.
What you’ll do
- Own employer revenue across verified hiring, up-skilling and applied research, from first meeting to signed agreement.
- Build the pipeline in our priority sectors: defence and national security, cyber, aerospace and space, autonomy, advanced manufacturing and energy.
- Run discovery with hiring managers and technical leads to define the capability standard for each role.
- Turn first engagements into enterprise partnerships with forecastable intake, renewals and expansion.
- Feed what you hear in the market back into our roles, training and pricing.
- Hire and lead the sales team as we grow.
What you’ll bring
- Seven or more years in B2B sales, with a record of closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals.
- Relationships and credibility with technical buyers in at least one of our priority sectors.
- The ability to sell something new: you can explain a different model clearly and handle hard questions.
- Discipline with pipeline, forecasting and follow-through.
- Ownership. You’d rather build the playbook than inherit one.
Nice to have
- Experience selling to government or defence primes.
- An existing security clearance, or eligibility to obtain one.
